Too long....

.... since i wrote anything. Quit a few things happened: Miranda (and Jacob) gave birth to a daughter and Diana (and Johannes) to a son. May both kids have a happy live.
My little company finally attracts some work again, which does me good.
Back is a little better although an operation still may be wishfull. In september i do have an intake about the possibility of this operation.
Herman is doing relatively well. So glad for that.
Mariya, haven't talked to you for too long. Hope you're doing fine too.
Well what else? Eh... worldpeace!! yeah!

Love you all, Jan.

PS: got a comment from Janneke Witvoet from Assen. Thanks Janneke.

MRC-11

Just heard: i can go home on wednesday. Nothing more to gain for me here. I'll have to search further on my own for the cuase(s) and hopefully a cure for my backpain.
Thanks for all you guys support. I'll visit you soon (hopefully you too Mariya, geez, we haven't chatted for ages, hope you're doing fine).
All in all a weird feeling which hasn't sunk in my brain completely yet.

See ya all, Jan.

MRC-10

OK, here i am again with this week's update. Well actually there's not much to tell. Ed (nice bloke) left.
I do my excercises, get stronger and the pain stays (even got a little worse).
I will have to continue my search for better solutions, but i am afraid an opration is unavoidable. But will they operate me?
All in all: hoping for better times and trying to get not too moody.

Love ya all, Jan.

MRC-9

Not much news. Last week went very quickly. Especially because i went home tuesday evening for municipal elections (i hope that's correct english). Wednesday morning back.
Mainwhile not many things have changed: I get stronger, but the pain doesn't diminish. Well, a bit morte than 3 weeks to go. And then...... Let's see.
See you guys!! Mariya, please don't forget to resent your last email about mount Fuji. Thx in advance.

MRC-7

Small update: right now am taped, which is to say that all kinds of straps are tied to my back to force me to keep my back into the right position.
Unfortunately the results of all the training and therapy so far are not good. Still a hurting back and no progress what so ever. I still hope that there will be a breaking point, where either the pain will diminish or that i will get that strong that the pain is less annoying. Let's hope for the best.
My last day up here will (probably) be the 5th of april. I am afraid i will have to continue to search for the cause (and preferably the cure) of the pain in the lower part of my back. Most therapists however think that it would be better to accept that i have this pain and stop searching otherwise the frustration of not finding the cause may be too much. I can't do that however. I haven't reached that point, so i won't give up as long as there are still other ways to find out what's happening to me. Sounds all a bit depressing doesn't it? Well, that's how it is. There is another reason for my depressed mood right now, but i do not want to write that down here.
Hey, hope to see or hear you guys soon. Either in Meppel or on line (or in Japan......).
With love, Jan.

Bad News-2

Just heard: Ugo has been given up. He can go home. Further treatment has no use. I hope he dies in peace. Good luck Ugo.
Big big grieve.

MRC-6

Time for an update isn't it (Yes Mariya, Yes Miranda). Actually there is not so much new to tell. Things are getting more and more routinelike, so... sports, fysio, some manual labour, ergotherapy, etc. Everyday. My condition is getting better and better. However, the pain in my back is not diminshing, which is to be expected since i put those unused muscles to work after having done nothing for almost 9 months. I have hope to grow strong enough to beat the pain though. Thanks for all your interested emails, which i can not respond to. The network up here is a disaster: nothing works the way it should except my webblog. Well, week is almost over and i am looking forward to the weekend in Meppel. Sleeping without somebody snoring like hell next to me sounds like heaven.
Hope to see you on line this weekend Mariya.
Huggs for alll you people.

MRC-5

End of the week almost. One short day to go (just the fridaymorning). I must say: i do feel a bit better and i hope this slowly increasing line continuous. I even had a painfree eveing last tuesday. But the next morning... aaaaauuuuuccchhh. A bit of fysiotherapie helped though. I love the sports i do dayly over here. Finally after months of doing nothing. Feels great. And my sportstherapist is a great bloke.
I will publish some more pictures soon, coz the environment is fantastic here. Ehhhh... nothing more to say. Weekend in Meppel. Till next week.

Bad News

Dear friends,

Just a minute ago i heard that one of the patients (Ugo, a very kind bloke) has to go to the hospital. After two kinds of cancer, lots of x-ray-like operations, chemo therapies and even more other healthproblems it seems that now his immunesystem has been affected too. He is probably going to die soon. I feel extremely sad and angry about it. It feels as if there is no justice in this world. It depresses me to the extreme.
I just wanted to share this and "write it off my chest".
Pray for him please. Either to God, Allah, Mohammed, Jezus or Jaweh. It really doesn't matter.

MRC-2

Just had my first Fysio.
The bad news is: we can't find an explanation for my pain and so... complete cure is unlikely.
The good news: improvement must be achievable and so... i am going for the get the best result possible.
My first impression so far: nice people, good food, too much waiting (but, my real program is still to be started, so... let's wait and see)
Tomorrow i will take some pictures, which i can publish during the next week.
See ya all.

Revalidationcentre-1

And here i am now. In the MRC (militair revalidation centre) trying to get my back fixed. During working days i will stay here internally, and so... if you want to mail me.. use:

jwitvoet2000@yahoo.com.

Lots of seriously injured people over here. So many that i hardly dare to complain about my back.
Haven't done much so far. Mainly waiting for people to pick me up and show me around.
Well, let's see how it goes from here. I'll keep you guys informed. Feel free to react if you like.

What's the matter with me?

Although everything is going relatively well (except for some pain in my back) i am sooo moody lately. What is the matter with me? Midlife crisis? Detoxing from quiting the smoking habbit? Just mentally instable? React if you like.

Drie reactie's mijner zijds:
  1. Ze hebben gelijk
  2. Vrijheid van meningsuitting is toch een gekoesterd goed? Wel, hier heb je een vrije geuitte mening. Deal with it!!
  3. Wie denken ze in Den Haag wel niet dat ze zijn? Mag er geen commentaar op hun geleverd worden of zo? Laat me niet lachen. Knappe jongen, die mij voor deze mening een excuus laat aanbieden.
Tot zover. Reacties meer dan welkom. Leve de Belgen!!

Here you go....

Well, what to tell to the world?

Name it: about my music, about my sports, about my travels, about my job? Tell me!

One more blog

Just to see how all this works.
One more picture too.

My First Blog

I have decided to write most of my blogs in English. So my foreign friends can read them as well.
On forehand i apologize for my english. After all it's not my native tongue and sentences may sound like it's learned by the book, which is the case indeed.
Well, let's see how this blog-thing goes.
